Mother's Day in the Netherlands falls on the second Sunday of May. It's one of our busiest weekends because a custom cake says more than flowers and a card. We make Mother's Day cakes in all sizes. A small cake for a family brunch works just as well as a larger one for a gathering with the whole family. The most popular request is a floral buttercream cake with piped roses, tulips, or mixed flower arrangements in soft pinks, purples, and whites.
Design Ideas for Mum
Floral designs dominate Mother's Day orders, and for good reason. Buttercream flowers look beautiful and taste great. We pipe them directly onto the cake, so there's nothing artificial to remove before eating.
Beyond flowers, other popular designs include elegant ombre cakes in her favourite colour, heart-shaped cakes, and cakes with a personal message like "Beste Mama" or "Happy Mother's Day" in clean script lettering.
