    Cakes for Islamic Celebrations

We regularly make cakes for Nikah ceremonies, Aqiqah celebrations, and Mawlid gatherings. These are not occasional requests — they are a consistent part of our order calendar. The Muslim community in Rotterdam and Vlaardingen celebrates these milestones with family, food, and often cake.

Every cake we make uses halal-only ingredients. For religious celebrations, that is not a bonus feature — it is the baseline. Our entire menu is halal by default, so there is nothing separate to request or verify.

    Nikah Cakes

A Nikah is an Islamic marriage ceremony. The celebration varies in size — some families keep it intimate with 20 guests, others host 100+. The cake reflects the couple's style.

White and gold designs are the most popular for Nikah cakes. Semi-naked buttercream with fresh flowers gives a romantic, natural look. Drip cakes with gold accents feel more modern. We can add the couple's names or the wedding date on an acrylic topper.

For larger Nikah celebrations, a main cake paired with cupcake boxes works well. Guests get a cupcake to take home, and the main cake stays as the centrepiece for photos and cutting.

    Aqiqah Cakes

Aqiqah celebrates the birth of a child, traditionally held on the seventh day. Families gather, a meal is served, and the baby's name is often announced.

Aqiqah cakes tend toward soft colours. Pastel pink for girls, light blue for boys, or neutral tones like cream and sage green. "Welcome Baby" or the baby's name on a topper is a common request. Small cakes for 10-15 people are the most ordered size for Aqiqah.

Cupcakes with the baby's name or a simple design are another option. They work well when families want to distribute sweets among visitors.

    Mawlid and Other Celebrations

Mawlid, the celebration of the Prophet's birthday, often involves community gatherings with sweets and desserts. We make cakes and cupcakes for these events too. Green and gold are the most requested colour combinations for Mawlid cakes.

We also get orders for other Islamic occasions — Hajj return celebrations, Quran completion parties (khatam), and Islamic New Year gatherings. The process is always the same: tell us the occasion, the number of guests, and your design idea. We handle the rest.

Prices for custom cakes range from €50 to €100. Use our cake calculator to get an estimate, or start your order here.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Are all ingredients halal for religious celebration cakes?
Yes. Every ingredient we use is halal. There is no separate halal option because our entire menu is halal by default.
Can you make a large Nikah cake for 100+ guests?
We make custom cakes up to a certain size. For very large guest counts, we recommend combining a main cake with cupcake boxes so everyone is served.
How far in advance should I order for a Nikah or Aqiqah?
At least one week. For Nikah cakes with detailed designs, two weeks gives us more flexibility. Aqiqah can be tighter on timing — contact us and we will see what we can do.
Do you deliver to the event location?
We deliver across Zuid-Holland. Give us the venue address and we will arrange delivery. Pickup from Vlaardingen or Rotterdam is also available.
